Any Rosebush Experts Out There? I need help!
July 31st, 2008 Posted in Good Times & Events, Local News, Real EstateGood morning all…
Let me tell you what I know about roses in Paso Robles. I know they don’t bloom well in the heat. I know they have to be dead-headed/pruned. And I know they need to be fed once in awhile. Oh, and of course, they need to be sprayed for a myriad of diseases: molds, rust, bugs, blah, blah, blah… WHY did I plant so many of them????
Anyway, I am planning to have a barbecue Labor Day weekend. I would really like them to be in bloom for the event. Can anyone tell me the optimum time to prune and feed in order to orchestrate roses in bloom for the party? Should I do it now or 2 weeks before? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated…
This is my Double Delight on a good day in spring or fall:) Labor Day will probably be 100 plus degrees…
