Local Farmers Markets Schedules

Although produce is limited during the winter months, I thought you might like an updated local farmers market schedule for the Central Coast since the weather has been so fabulous…  It is fun to get out and at least buy some fresh flowers or winter vegies for a sumptuous homemade soup that can be frozen for the winter rains we hope are coming.

Organic Vegetables

ARROYO GRANDE

  • Spencer’s Market Parking Lot on the corner of Grand and Courtland.  Wednesdays 8:30 – 11:00 am.
  • Village Gazebo area.  Saturdays 12:00 – 2:30 pm.  Usually have live entertainment.  For info, call (805) 489-6597.
  • Old Port Fisheries at corner of Brisco and Grand Avenue Thursdays 3:00 – 6:00 pm.  For info, call (805) 541-3474.

ATASCADERO

  • SUNKEN GARDENS in historic downtown Colony District Wednesdays 3:00 – 6:00 pm.  For info, call (805) 461-5000.

CAMBRIA

LOS OSOS/BAYWOOD PARK

  • Second and Santa Maria Streets Mondays 2:00 – 4:30 pm.  For info, call (805) 239-6535.

MORRO BAY

  • Main Street in front of Chamber of Commerce Saturdays 3:00 – 6:00 pm.  For info, call (805) 772-4467.  Locally caught fresh fish when available.
  • Spencer’s Fresh Market parking lot Thursdays 2:30 – 5:00 pm.  For info, call (805) 544-9570.

PASO ROBLES

  • Wal-Mart parking lot at Niblick and River Road Fridays 9:00 – 12:30 pm.
  • Paso Robles City Park Tuesdays 3:00 – 6:00 pm.

SAN LUIS OBISPO

  • On Higuera Street from Nipomo Street to Osos Street Thursdays 6:00 – 9:00 pm.  Probably the most fun of all with live entertainment and barbecue; especially in the summer.  For info, call (805) 541-0286.
  • The Promenade parking lot near World Market off Madonna Road Saturdays 8:00 – 10:30 am.

SHELL BEACH

  • At Dinosaur Caves Park Saturdays 9:00 – 1:00 pm.

TEMPLETON

  • City Park at Sixth and Crocker Street Saturdays 9:00 – 12:30 pm.  For info, call (805) 239-6535.

In addition, the AVILA BEACH Fish and Farmers Market takes place at the Promenade between April and September on Fridays 4:00 – 8:00 pm.  They offer fresh produce, fresh fish, live entertainment, contests and prizes for good ole’ family fun, and, of course, the beach for viewing the sunset and children to play.
