Bonnie Raitt Concert at Avila Beach Resort
October 12th, 2008 Posted in Good Times & EventsI am posting from Paso Robles and very happy to tell you that the Bonnie Raitt concert on Sunday was a great success. We went with another couple and came fully prepared with long sleeves and jackets expecting 60-degree weather. Turns out it was high 70′s with no wind at the beach… What a beautiful day, except we were roasting out in the sun with no shade.
We parked outside of the event only to find out that the charge to park was only $5.00. As a result we probably walked a mile each way to the venue and back. Take my advice: If you ever go to an event at the Avila Beach Resort, pay for parking… It is well worth it.
Jude Johnstone, a local artist, opened the show with very relaxing and enjoyable music… Ian McPhee’s Restaurant from Templeton provided a pretty good selection of food for sale, and beer and wine were available…
Bonnie Raitt came out and gave a wonderful concert with all of her well-known hits.
If you are considering attending an event at the Avila Beach Resort, do yourself a favor and go… It is a beautiful location near the beach and on the golf course. Hills and trees abound… You won’t be sorry!
Also, keep in mind there is a Farmer’s Market in Avila Beach with fresh fish for sale every Friday evening. They almost always have live music, and it is free!
