August Brings Wine, Art & Song Together in Paso Robles
July 13th, 2008 Posted in Good Times & Events, Local BusinessesThere are no less than 15 wine tasting rooms and wine bars within walking distance of historic downtown Paso Robles. During the month of August, these tasting rooms will be banding together every Saturday night from 5:00 to 7:00 pm to offer not only wine tasting but also a sampling of local artists and musicians. A handful of the vendors will be offering appetizers, but not to worry…. There are several fine restaurants along the route.
The Paso Art, Wine & Song event, PAWS, which is being sponsored by the Paso Robles Main Street Association, wishes to promote local artists and musicians while at the same time encouraging locals and visitors to come downtown to taste the signature wines that have made Paso famous as a wine destination.
Brochures and maps of the event will be available, and flags will hang outside the tasting rooms. Stenciled designs on the sidewalk will also direct patrons onward to discover more local wines and experience the arts.
A collection of Paso’s best local artists will set up their artwork and jewelry in the tasting rooms and will be available to talk with patrons about their offerings. Live music will abound.
Wineries and tasting rooms scheduled to participate in the month-long celebration of the arts are: Anglim Winery, Arroyo Robles Winery, Bear Caves Cellars, D’Ambino Vineyards and Cellars, Edward Sellers, Hearthstone Wines, Midlife Crisis Winery, Orchid Hill Winery, Ortman Family Vineyards, Pianetta Wines, Silver Stone Wines, Vihuela Winery, Vinoteca Wine Bar, Cafe’ Vio and The Wine Attic.
